To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, Professor Brian Cox will reveal the secrets of our favourite Timelord in a BBC2 lecture filmed at the Royal Institution.
With the help of some celebrity friends, Brian will use the laws of physics to explore if time travel really is just impossible dream and examine our chances of one day coming across extra-terrestrial life.
'The Science of Doctor Who' will be broadcast on BBC2 at 9pm Thursday 14 November and available on BBC iplayer thereafter.
