Introduction

Since launching the L'Oréal Young Scientist Centre at the Royal Institution in 2009, we've been working with partners to bring our workshops, activities and Young Scientist Centre ethos to students from across the country.

Baylab

In April 2017 the Ri worked with Bayer, a global enterprise in the life sciences field, to open its first UK-based Baylab in Reading.

The Baylab science laboratory offers school groups state-of-the-art equipment to experiment and develop problem-solving skills. It complements the key stage 2–5 curriculum, empowering students to make their own unique discoveries.

Find out more on the Baylab website.

The UClan and Ri Young Scientist Centre

In October 2014 the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) and the Ri partnered to open a ground-breaking facility – The Young Scientist Centre. This centre – the first of its kind outside of London – brings science and technology to young people across the Northwest of England.
