Sir Richard Sykes, Chairman of the Royal Institution, pays tribute to His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh

On behalf of the Trustees, Patrons, Members and staff of the Royal Institution, Sir Richard Sykes, Chairman of the Royal Institution, has today paid tribute to His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh.

Sir Richard said: “Through his unwavering support for Her Majesty The Queen, and as a Life Member, His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh made a strong contribution to this Institution, and to our work to inspire everyone to think more deeply about science and its place in our lives.

“On behalf of the Trustees, Patrons, Members and staff of the Royal Institution, I would like to add my deepest condolences to Her Majesty The Queen and all members of the Royal Family."
