Tickets for the CHRISTMAS LECTURES are made available exclusively for Ri Members.
The first wave of tickets will be available on Wednesday 22 October at 6:00pm and the second wave on Saturday 25 October at 11:00am. Members will be reminded by email and sent a link to purchase as the tickets become available.
You can join as an Ri Member online
If you have a question about an existing membership please email membership@ri.ac.uk
Members can purchase a maximum of four children's Theatre tickets and one adult screening room ticket.
The adult screening room allows you to watch a live feed from the recording in the Theatre on a big screen. The link for purchasing a screening room ticket will be sent in your e-confirmation after you have purchased Theatre tickets.
The Theatre is reserved for children only. Adults without a screening room ticket will not be allowed to remain in the building during filming. All tickets are limited and issued first-come first-served.
£39 for Theatre tickets. A small Eventbrite booking fee is also added at checkout.
Screening room tickets are free for Ri Members.
You will receive your tickets via e-confirmation from Eventbrite shortly after booking. Please check your spam folder if you don't receive them within a few minutes.
Standby tickets may go on sale after the initial two waves of ticket sales, subject to availability.
Filming takes place:
- Thursday, 11 December 2025, 6pm
- Saturday, 13 December 2025, 6pm
- Tuesday, 16 December 2025, 6pm
The doors will open at 5.00pm but please arrive by 4.30pm at the latest so we have plenty of time to scan your tickets and handout wristbands in the queue. The queue will be outside this year so please dress warmly.
For continuity in filming, it will not be possible to seat anyone arriving after filming has begun, even if there is a break in the recording.
You will need to show your Eventbrite ticket (this can be printed or on your phone) and your membership card.
You will be able to wait with your child(ren) and help them drop items at the cloakroom, but if you do not have a screening room ticket then you will not be able to remain in the building during filming.
Filming is scheduled to finish at 8:00pm. However, in case things run slightly over, we have built in an additional 30 minutes, making the latest possible finish time 8:30pm. Filming will not run past this time.
Children aged 13 and over who have permission to leave independently will be allowed to depart. If you are collecting your child(ren), please arrive by 8:00pm. Once filming has concluded, parents and guardians will be invited into the building to ensure a safe and smooth pick-up process.
Should your child(ren) be selected as a volunteer or to answer a question during the filming we will need an additional release form which will also require a signature from a parent/guardian. We will send this in advance to everyone and may need to follow up on the evening of the lecture to ensure all the paperwork is complete.
If you would like to make use of live captions you can select this during the booking journey. If you have additional access requirements you would like to talk to us about, please email xmaslecs@ri.ac.uk
We take safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults extremely seriously. You can read our policy here. During the filming of the CHRISTMAS LECTURES, there will be designated DBS checked stewards in the Theatre to assist with any queries or concerns.
Our building is located at 21 Albemarle Street, London W1S 4BS. We are a short walk from Green Park station on the London Underground, and there are buses that stop along Piccadilly at the top of Albemarle Street that depart from London Victoria (no. 38) and Charing Cross (no. 9) stations. Parking is very limited in Mayfair and we advise attendees to use public transport where possible. For more information on nearby parking, please see westminster.gov.uk/parking
Further details about getting to the Ri by public transport can be found on the find us section on our website.
