Members can purchase a maximum of four children's Theatre tickets per Lecture and one adult screening room ticket.

The Theatre is reserved for children only. All tickets are limited and issued first-come first-served.

Adult screening room tickets are free.

Filming will start at 6pm and we ask all attendees to arrive at the Ri by 4.30pm at the latest. For continuity in filming, it will not be possible to seat anyone arriving after filming has begun, even if there is a break in the recording.

As the events are being filmed live, it is difficult to give an exact finish time. However, from previous experience we estimate that filming will finish at around 8.30pm.

Standby tickets may go on sale after the initial ticket sale, subject to availability.

You will receive your tickets via e-confirmation from Eventbrite shortly after booking. Please check your spam folder if you don't receive it within a few minutes.

If you would like to make use of live captions you can select this during the booking journey. If you have additional access requirements you would like to talk to us about, please email xmaslecs@ri.ac.uk

The Ri takes safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults extremely seriously. You can read our policy here. During the filming of the CHRISTMAS LECTURES, there will be designated DBS checked stewards in the Theatre to assist with any queries or concerns.

The doors will open at 5.00pm, please arrive by 4.30pm at the latest so we have plenty of time to scan your tickets and handout wristbands in the queue. The queue will be outside this year so please dress warmly. You will need your Eventbrite ticket (this can be printed or shown on your phone) and your Ri membership card.

You will be able to wait with your child/children and help them drop items at the cloakroom, but if you do not have a screening room ticket then you will not be able to remain in the building during the filming.

Our building is located at 21 Albemarle Street, London W1S 4BS. We are a short walk from Green Park station on the London Underground, and there are buses that stop along Piccadilly at the top of Albemarle Street that depart from London Victoria (no. 38) and Charing Cross (no. 9) stations.

As the Ri is located in Mayfair in central London, parking is very limited and we advise attendees to use public transport where possible. For more information on nearby parking, please see westminster.gov.uk/parking

Details of getting to the Ri by public transport can be found on the find us section on our website.

Filming is scheduled to finish at 8:00 pm. However, in case things run slightly over, we have built in an additional 30 minutes, making the latest possible finish time 8:30 pm. Filming will not run past this time.

Children aged 13 and over who have permission to leave independently will be signed out and allowed to depart. If you are collecting your child(ren), please arrive by 8:00 pm. Once filming has concluded, parents and guardians will be invited into the building to ensure a safe and smooth pick-up process.

Should your child be selected as a volunteer or to answer a question during the filming we will need an additional release form which will also require a signature from a parent/guardian. We will send this in advance to everyone and may need to follow up on the evening of the lecture to ensure all the paperwork is complete.
