WiFi Wars Debug XX

The interactive gaming extravaganza returns for an exclusive preview of new games and material.

WiFi Wars

From classic TV game shows to zen-like word puzzles, from retro video games to modern first person shooters, WiFi Wars has something for everyone in its truly original whistlestop tour of all the ways you can have fun, in public.

The entire audience competes, both as teams and as individuals, on games, quizzes and more that are beamed into their smartphones and tablets using WiFi Wars’ Guinness World Record-Breaking tech, developed in residency at London’s prestigious Royal Institution.

At this event, you'll be first to see some of the brand new tech and games Rob and Steve have been working on. Come along and join the hilarity as they iron out the bugs in real time!

Don't forget to bring a charged phone or tablet with you to the event. Each player needs their own device. It's easy to join in and you don't have to download anything new to play along. The team are also on hand to help you if you need it.

Suitable for all ages. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Event type

This is an in-person only event in our Conversation Room.

About WiFi Wars

WiFi Wars

Steve McNeil and Rob Sedgebeer have come together to produce WiFi Wars, combining Steve's comedic and creative ideas with Rob's knowledge and aptitude with coding and designing games. They featured in our 2022 CHRISTMAS LECTURES with Dame Sue Black, but first appeared at the Ri back in 2014. Since then they've performed shows at the Ri that have been so successful that even a Guinness World Record was broken (most people playing a single game of pong - we broke the previous record by 35 people!). They return to the Ri for a special show to bring you comedy, computer science, technology and interaction so you can be a part of the development of new games and mass innovation.

Timing

Doors will open at 6.45pm and the event will begin at 7.00pm.
