Talks and shows

Fuel the future

Experience our new school show about the future of fuel!

via The Royal Institution

Join our presenters as they explore the chemistry and physics of fuels from the past, present and future. Discover the effect of CO2 on our planet, and why plastics can be such a problem.

In this show, you’ll dive into the science behind generating electricity sustainably and storing it, using batteries, and find out how water can be used to power an explosion?!

Featuring an array of exciting demonstrations, Fuel The Future is a journey through what sustainability is, and why it’s so important.

Along with Imperial College London, the Ri is a founding partner of Undaunted, combating the causes and effects of climate change through clean-tech innovation.

‘Fuel the Future’ was created with funding from Google.org and co-created with young students from eight schools in the London Borough of Camden; with six of the schools located in areas of the highest 40% of deprivation in England according to the Income Deprivation Affecting Children Index.
