Being bionic (family)

Learn about some of the amazing human bionics used by people across the world.

Bonnier Books ltd

Being Bionic brings Patrick Kane’s award winning book Human 2.0 to life. Centering around the incredible real world people featured in the book: athletes, inventors and pioneers who use technology such as bionic limbs, cochlear implants, and other life changing innovations to do extraordinary things, and what we can all learn from their stories.

Patrick will share his own story of becoming a triple amputee as a baby, growing up with prosthetics, and becoming the youngest person in the world to be fitted with a bionic arm, all of which shaped his view of the world and led him to becoming an author.

He’ll explore what being “bionic” really means for everyone - showing the audience that difference is an essential part of humanity, curiosity can change the world, and the future belongs to those brave enough to imagine it.

A copy of Patrick's book 'Human 2.0' will be available for purchase and signing after the talk.
