The London Institute and the Royal Institution host the UK premiere of Nuclear Now, followed by a conversation with Oscar-winning director Oliver Stone.

As fossil fuels continue to make a significant contribution to global warming, driving climate change, Oliver Stone argues that the world is finally becoming forced to confront the influence of large oil companies and tactics that have enriched a small group of corporations and individuals for generations. Yet underground, the Earth's crust holds uranium atoms with stores of concentrated energy. In the mid-20th century, science unlocked this energy, initially for destructive purposes and later for powering submarines. In his latest film, Oscar-winning director Oliver Stone seeks to confront this challenge, showcasing the belief that knowledge is an antidote to fear. By harnessing our human ingenuity, we can conquer the climate change crisis that looms over us. Nuclear Now calls on us to embrace the remarkable potential of nuclear energy and dispel unfounded fears.

Join us for the UK premiere of Nuclear Now for a journey that reveals the secrets of the nuclear industry and presents a vision of a future unburdened by climate change. Celebrate the power of knowledge and the resilience of the human spirit as we seek to tackle climate change as the greatest challenge the world faces.

A 30-minute Q&A with Oliver Stone will follow the screening.
