The reflection of waves is described and their expansion and compression is then illustrated experimentally. Lawrence Bragg demonstrates the effect of waves crossing each other and explains this effect with the aid of models and animated diagrams. The Doppler Effect is then described and illustrated dramatically by means of ASDIC recordings. Finally, Bragg considers and demonstrates the effect when a body travels through a medium faster than waves travel in the same medium.
