Desch was a Manager and Vice-President of the RI on several occasions in the 1930s and 40s. His main research topic was Metallurgy.
Ri upcoming closures
The Ri will be closed to the public from Wednesday 16 to Wednesday 23 July. We will then be closed for building works from Monday 28 July to Friday 12 September (inclusive), apart from our popular Summer Holiday Workshops for children.
