Event description

We know that plants are important. They maintain our atmosphere, nourish other living organisms and benefit us psychologically by creating beautiful landscapes around us.

Join molecular biologist Beronda Montgomery as she explores how plants are masters of adaption and experience sensations that don’t require eyes or ears. Plants “know” what and who they are, and they use this knowledge to make their way in the world and maximise their chances of survival.

In this talk, discover how we might improve human society by better appreciating not just what plants give us, but also how they achieve their own purposes.
