Have you ever been told to smile more, been teased about your accent, or had your name pronounced incorrectly? If so, you've probably already faced bias in your everyday life.

This talk explores the way our implicit or 'unintentional' biases affect the way we communicate and perceive the world and how they affect our decision-making, even in life and death situations.

Behavioural scientist Pragya Agarwal combines case studies, personal experience, interviews and real world stories underpinned by scientific theories and research, to cover a wide range of implicit biases in depth.

About the speakers

Pragya Agarwal is a behavioural scientist, inclusivity consultant, 2 x TEDx speaker, and an author.

Pragya helps organisations create equitable processes, offering keynote talks, audits and workshops in diversity and unconscious bias.

She was named as one of top 100 influential women entrepreneurs in the UK for 2018-19, and one of 50 on the 'High and Mighty' List making an impact in the India-UK corridor. She regularly appears on global radio and television platforms including BBC Women's Hour, BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Breakfast, Australian Broadcasting Service and Canadian Radio
