Join Jacqueline Currie in this workshop based on her experiences in the aerospace industry.
Students will undertake activities including space exploration challenges using Lego Mindstorms robotics kits, exploring computer programming and the engineering cycle. Throughout this work students will showcase and hone their own creativity and problem-solving skills.
Jacqueline holds a master's degree in aerospace engineering and has over 10 years' experience in STEAM education and outreach, plus further qualifications in Space Studies and Business Management.
Jacqueline is founder and lead educator with The Curiosity Hub, a Sussex based STREAM activity provider. The Curosity Hub’s aim is to bring a creative and interdisciplinary approach to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths education. Launched in 2013 and led by Jacqueline, they have reached thousands of children and families at schools, colleges, community centres and science festivals.
Jacqueline has over 15 years' experience in STEAM fields, including 8 years in cross-curricular education and interdisciplinary outreach. She has strong technical skills and expertise with many educational technology systems including Lego Robotics, Minecraft EDU, Sonic Pi, HUE Animation, Scratch and MakeyMakey.
Please note, this workshop is strictly for 10–12 year-olds and is aimed at those with little or no experience of computer coding.

There will be a short break during the workshop and a drink and a small snack will be provided. Students should bring their own snack if they have any allergies.
Refunds can only be issued for tickets cancelled at least two weeks (14 calendar days) in advance of the event date. Please note that this supersedes our normal event terms and conditions.
Workshops are on the first floor of our building, for which there is step-free access from the street via lift.
The closest underground station is Green Park, which is step-free.
