Event description

In this workshop with Meghnaa Dhanji, students will use microdrones to explore flight dynamics and stabilised flight.

Students will explore these topics hands-on through completing a number of challenges using the microdrones. They will need to use critical thinking, creativity and problem solving skills in order to succeed, gaining an introduction to the fundamentals of mechanical and aerospace engineering along the way.

About the speaker

Meghnaa Dhanji is an Engineering PhD student at Brunel University, studying fuel injection in gasoline engines, having previously received an MEng in Aerospace Engineering. As well as teaching at Brunel, Meghnaa is a regular Masterclass speaker, as part of the Ri's growing Engineering Masterclass programme.

Please note

This workshop is strictly for 13–15 year-olds and will include a 45 minute supervised lunch break. Students will not be able to leave the building at lunch time unless permission is given at the time of booking. Students should bring lunch and a drink, pens and pencils.
