Event description

Students will extract their own DNA and walk away with a small piece of it in a necklace for them to wear.

Working in a real science lab and using their own cheek cells, students will extract their DNA using enzymes and use ethanol to separate it from the solution, ready to transfer into their own necklace

This workshop is a great early introduction to enzymes and DNA.

Please note

This workshop is strictly for 7–9 year-olds only.
