Our wonderful Head of Commercial Events is going on Maternity leave and we are looking for someone to join the team at the Ri and lead our commercial venue team, responsible for a team of three and working closely with our in house catering partner Searcys. The team’s main objective is to generate income (currently £1.4m) from events and conference hire at 21 Albemarle Street, the profits from which are used support the Ri’s charitable activities. This post will play a crucial role in leading the team to achieve quarterly sales targets.
We are looking for someone to start in the role towards the beginning of April 2020 and it is envisaged that the role will continue to June 2021.
Do you have a passion for events and have a strong track record in sales and in event delivery and logistics?
The ideal candidate will be proactive, hardworking and able to work under their own initiative. With a strong commercial mind, they must be able to identify opportunities for revenue growth and then strategically plan to deliver on these opportunities.
In this multifaceted role (involving sales strategy, financial planning and forecasting, marketing and communications and operational delivery) the successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent communication, people management experience, customer service skills and display a high level of organisational and project management ability.
