Contract type: Full time (35 hours per week)

Salary: £60k-£64k

About the role

We are looking for a proven IT and people manager to lead and manage the IT and AV services across our small but complex organisation within the constraints of a Grade I listed building. This role combines strategic, technical and management responsibilities and looks after the formulation and delivery of the Ri’s IT and AV strategy and the development and implementation of IT solutions to meet the current and future needs.

The IT strategy will help to support the digitisation of our offering to our beneficiaries, improving our reach and income generating opportunities, and enabling the Ri team to work collaboratively, efficiently and safely.

As successful applicant, you will develop the IT and AV strategy, plan and deliver a robust, efficient and professional operational IT and AV service to key stakeholders, oversee all areas of IT infrastructure requirements at the Ri, including Azure Infrastructure management and security policies.

You will also manage the IT budget, develop the IT and AV teams, ensure that all IT processes and systems are running efficiently and effectively and implement the systems and procedures to enable the IT/AV team to evolve and effectively support the delivery of our ambitious strategy.

About you

A strong IT and people manager with experience of leading the IT function in a complex organisation and experience of delivering a long-term IT strategy, you will have practical and technical skills and experience which you can effectively use to influence at all levels across the Ri.

In addition, you will need:

  • IT Project management experience: for example designing and implementing processes, network design, management of third parties. 
  • Practical ability to configure and manage networking hardware on premises and in cloud (Azure), for example;  switching, routing, servers, storage.
  • Administration and Management of CRM systems (Salesforce advantageous).
  • Strong security knowledge as applied to Network management and database management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to provide sound advice, challenge and support
  • A collaborative approach that nurtures effective partnership working
  • Ability to identify opportunities, lead and drive change in technologies.
