In our historic Grade I listed Mayfair building, discoveries were made that literally changed the world. Today it acts as base for the Ri team and tenants as well as a busy and vibrant event space for private and corporate events.
Accountable to: Head of Finance
Accountable for: Finance Officer and Finance Assistant
Location: Albemarle St, London, W1 4BS with opportunity for hybrid working
Contract type: Permanent
Salary: £40k to 44k per annum, plus benefits, depending on experience with potential for contribution to study costs.
About the role
This is a key role working in close partnership with the Head of Finance. As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for managing the financial accounting function at the Ri, as well as the processing and maintenance of our sales ledger, bank accounts and payroll. You will support the team’s management accounting function and decision making in line with established finance procedures.
Responsibilities will also include continually reviewing the Ri’s financial processes and systems and looking for innovative ways to ensure they are as efficient and effective as possible.
About You
You will have:
- A professional accountancy qualification (or be part-qualified and actively working towards full qualification.
- Significant experience of working in a Finance department with a strong interest in finance and reporting systems,
- Experience of using databases (financial ledgers or CRM software) to input and extract information
- Strong knowledge of financial procedures, principles and controls.
- Experience in working on month end and year end routines, including reconciliations.
Experience of payroll, line management and charity/not for profit would be advantageous.
