Explore the science of psychology and how your mind works in this hands-on workshop with the Ri's science presenter Dan Plane.
Our brain is an intriguing part of our bodies and is able to do amazing things, many of which we are not even aware are happening.
Dive into your mind and explore how your body knows where it is, how your brain understands what we see, and much more in this workshop for curious minds.
Dan Plane is a Science in Schools presenter for the Royal Institution. Dan's worked in education for nearly 20 years, and he's been a science communicator for the last 8 years with an ever-growing interest in all areas of science.
Dan especially enjoys bringing fun and excitement to the demonstrations he has been creating and performing in science centres and schools across the UK.
Dan is all about getting everyone, kids and adults alike, to explore the past, present, and future of science, and is proud to be a part of the rich history of science communication here at the Ri.
This workshop is strictly for 10-12 year-olds. There will be a short break during the workshop and a drink and a small snack will be provided. Students should bring their own snack if they have any allergies
This workshop is based on our ExperRimental video series, a series of short films that make it fun, easy and cheap to do science at home. Our films give you lots of ideas for kids’ activities that will help you explore the world around you, question and experiment together.
Refunds can only be issued for tickets cancelled at least two weeks (14 calendar days) in advance of the event date. Please note that this supersedes our normal event terms and conditions.
