Join the Ri’s Science Presenter Dan Plane to explore the science of psychology and how your mind works, in this exciting hands-on family workshop. Our brain is an intriguing part of the body, and is able to do amazing things, many of which we are not even aware are happening. Dive into your mind, and explore exciting questions like how our body knows where it is, how our brain understands what we see and more. The perfect family activity for curious minds!
This workshop is aimed at 7-12 year olds with their families, but older students and adults are welcome. There must be at least one paying adult attending with each booking.
Dan Plane is a Science in Schools presenter for the Royal Institution and has worked in education for nearly 20 years. He's been a science communicator for the last 8 and his interest in all areas of science is ever growing. He especially enjoys bringing fun and excitement to the demonstrations he has been creating and performing in science centres and schools across the UK.
Dan is all about getting everyone, kids and adults alike, to explore the past, present, and future of science, and is especially proud to be a part of the rich history of science communication here at the Ri.
There must be at least one adult attending with each booking.
This Family Masterclass is based on our ExperRimental video series, and is an opportunity for children and adults to work together, taking a hands-on approach to exploring different topics. ExpeRimental is a series of short films that make it fun, easy and cheap to do science at home with children. Our films give you lots of ideas for kids’ activities that will help you explore the world around you, question and experiment together.
