The concept of 'responsibility' is one that crosses the boundaries of science and art, culture and business. From a doctor's responsibility towards their patient, to the responsibility of a writer to their characters, to one generation's responsibility to the next, this simple term throws up a host of moral and ethical issues. Bonnie Greer and Hugh Montgomery will discuss how the concept informs their work.
Hugh Montgomery is a professor and the director of the UCL Institute for Human Health and Performance at University College London. He graduated from Middlesex Hospital Medical School and is accredited in General Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Intensive Care Medicine.
Bonnie Greer is a playwright, novelist and critic, sometimes writing for The Guardian and the New Statesman and often appearing as a TV panellist on shows such as Question Time and Newsnight.
