Event description

Have you ever wondered what lies beyond the clouds? How big is the Universe? Is there life on other planets? Find out everything you ever wanted to know about space with hands-on activities and demonstrations.

As part of the talks in the theatre, Jim Al-Khalili will explore what real science has to say about time travel: is it just science fiction or do the laws of physics allow it? in his talk entitled "Can Dr Who really travel through time?". Laura Thomas takes you on a journey through our solar system in her talk entitled Solar System Stories. You will be able to follow in the footsteps of the first human space explorers before discovering the planets where we have sent robots and spacecraft before us. Find out where, and how, we could all be travelling to far off destinations in the Solar System in the not too distant future.

Please note

Family Fun Day activities are suitable for 6-12 year olds though older and younger siblings are also very welcome.
