Pepys researched into improving electrical apparatus and invented the mercury gasometer. He was active in the management of the Ri and Vice-President in 1816.
Papers include correspondence relating to surgical instruments, club nominations and the Ri; various notices of meetings, proposed bye-laws and accounts relating to the Ri.
