New groups

Autumn 2013 has been a busy term for new Masterclass groups. In West Byfleet, a group of ten primary schools began two parallel series, while in Honiton, pupils from several schools gathered at their local secondary for the first of their series. We were delighted to present the first Masterclasses in these series and wish the groups the best of luck for future Masterclasses.

Visits

In addition to travelling to the new groups, Amy attended well-established groups in Croydon, Canterbury and Hastings to present Masterclasses, and visited Lowestoft, where the Suffolk group is now running a transition group for pupils from Years 6 and 7 to meet and collaborate.

Ri series

Our Davy and Faraday classes took place in the Ri just after the summer holidays. Sixty pupils attended, with presenters including Katie Steckles, from Think Maths, Bernard Bagnall, from NRICH, and Georgina Nutton, from Hallfield School.
