In this presentation Professor Boaler, of the University of Sussex, will share some surprising research results and videos of students, to reveal the huge gap between the way maths is taught in schools and the ways it should be taught. She will also explain why women and girls are often disadvantaged in maths classrooms. This will be a multi-media presentation with responses from leading figures in education, entertainment and politics.
