Doors to the Royal Institution will be open from 4.00pm.
Join the presenter of The 2008 Royal Institution Christmas Lectures Chris Bishop for a highly interactive exploration of the science of computation, and a look at the future of digital technology. Could we use DNA to do computation? Will quantum computers ever become a reality? With explosions, liquid nitrogen superconductors, and exotic chemical reactions: expect loud bangs!
We also hope to have a special preview from this year's lecturer Sue Hartley, showcasing some of the demonstrations that will make up the 2009 Christmas Lectures.
This event is suitable for ages 7 and over and children are welcome to sit with adults, unlike the regular Christmas Lectures.
Tickets cost £8 standard, £6 concessions, £4 Ri Members.
