  • Session 1: 11.00am-12.00pm
  • Session 2: 1.30pm-2.30pm

Magnetism and electricity might not seem to be linked but they are, an important discovery made right here at the Royal Institution by Michael Faraday.  This talk will include demonstrations on how magnets work and what they can do. From compasses telling you the way to get home to lightning and some pretty big sparks.

This event is for schools, although home educators are welcome too. No under 5s will be admitted to the theatre, and all home educated children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. School groups please bring the appropriate number of adults to supervise your group. Please book all tickets online.

Why not visit our new museum and use our eGuide during your visit? School groups just phone to book in.
