Through joining the Ri you become part of a dynamic community of people of all ages from around the world who share an interest in and passion for science and technology. Lectures, discussions and events take place throughout the day on topics from climate change, understanding dementia through music to the science of champagne. The Ri is the home of free thinkers and free debate. The only qualification needed for membership is an enquiring mind.
Your support enables us to continue to inspire young people through an extensive education programme that includes a unique lab - the Young Scientist Centre - nationwide maths and engineering masterclasses, schools events and the famous Christmas Lectures.
Support from our members contributes to the conservation and exhibition of our rich scientific heritage. Your subscription allows our museum to remain free to schools and the general public. On most days, our interactive exhibition and museum space is crowded with enthusiastic children learning from the historic apparatus, inventions and documents produced by some of the finest scientific minds who have ever lived.
In the world's first purpose build laboratories, the Davy Faraday Research team at the Ri rely on support from members to continue their cutting-edge research in nanotechnology in healthcare.
Membership provides individuals with a wide variety of benefits including access to lectures, discourses, exhibitions and interactive activities. As a centre for discussion and debate, the Ri is a place to meet new people and discuss and see the latest and most significant ideas in science and technology.
