Excitement of Science is an original research project, culminating in a day of presentations at the Royal Institution in London. We invite any UK school to join our science researchers, collecting original data to help inform the latest scientific developments. The Excitement of Science is jointly organised by the Royal Institution and Rotary International.

Data collected by individual schools between February and May 2010 will be analysed and then presented at the famous Royal Institution in London on Tuesday 22 June 2010. Just for the fun of it, the day will begin with a demonstration of university-level chemistry that would frighten most parents!

This year's project is new to EoS and in the field of sports science. It will involve measuring and analysing arterial blood flow through an examination of live ultrasound images of the human body. Our principal expert is Prof Tim Cable, Director of the School of Sport & Exercise Sciences at Liverpool John Moores University, who will be presenting the work of their world renowned Research Institute for Sport & Exercise Sciences.
