November's book
This month's book is 'By The Sea' by Henry Gee. One night in an antiquated research institute on the coast of present-day Norwich, one of the scientists is found mysteriously dead. When the local detective inspector - a woman with a mysterious past of her own - begins to investigate, strange secrets start to emerge about the institute and its denizens, both living and dead. 'By The Sea' blends science, murder, sex and Victorian intrigue into a dark, gothic thriller.
The author, a senior editor at Nature magazine, will be available after the main discussion to answer any questions and to discuss the influences and inspirations behind his book.
'By The Sea' is available exclusively from LuLu.com which you can go to by clicking on the link on the right-hand side of this page.
Please note that this event will be filmed as part of a pilot TV programme and by attending you are consenting to your image appearing in this programme.
