The archive collections of the Royal Institution include the personal papers and experimental notebooks of many of the scientists who have researched, lectured and lived in the building.
The Faraday Museum opened in 1973 as a small room in the Ri's basement. The exhibition has recently been expanded and can be seen across the first three floors of the building.
