Michael joined the Royal Institution in October 2015 after a two year sabbatical touring the world. Michael has joined the Ri to help it address its financial challenges and contribute to a more financially stable future and enable it to improve its impact.

From 2010 to end 2013 Michael was Chief Executive of the Information Security Forum – the world's leading authority on cyber security and information risk management that supplies authoritative opinion and practical solutions large global organisations. Prior to this, Michael was a senior PwC partner with 22 years client and practice management responsibility at Global, European and UK level, and, initially, in Australia. Michael transferred from PwC Australia to live in London in 1998 to help create a global PwC business focussed on risk management solutions for Finance, IT, Operations and Change.

Michael is a Chartered Accountant, a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand.
