Event details

We’re excited to announce a very special, last minute, brand new opportunity for young people to take part in the 2015 CHRISTMAS LECTURES!

Children aged 11 and over and accompanying adults are invited to join Christmas Lecturer Kevin Fong and NASA astronaut Dan Tani in the Ri lecture theatre to watch an International Space Station space-walk happen LIVE.

The event will take place on Monday 21 December at 12.15pm.

We would like to ask all attendees to arrive at the Ri no later than 12.00pm and we expect the event to end around 2.00pm. Attendees must pre-book their place before arriving.

This event is FREE and open to all including Ri Members and non-members, but attendees must be aged 11 and over. Adults accompanying young people are welcome to attend too but they will be seated up in the theatre gallery. All young people aged 11 to 17 will be seated in the main theatre.

Please note that this event will be filmed as part of the CHRISTMAS LECTURES, there may be other media present and footage of the audience may be used in the BBC Four broadcast. Remember too that this is a live link to a real space mission (exciting!) so almost everything is subject to change…

We hope you can join us for what promises to be a really exciting event!
