Ri offerings for half term

The first half term of 2015 is fast-approaching and the Ri has plenty to offer, whether that's through family talks, workshops, a visit to our museum and cafe or experiments to try at home.

Don't forget, the Faraday Museum is free to all and open Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 6.00pm. But to get more from the Ri, membership offers free tickets, discounts in our café and special offers. And it starts from just £15 for young people!

Family-friendly chemistry

We have two family-friendly evening talks on chemitry, whether you want the fizzes and bangs that Andrew Szydlooffers, or the wonder of discovery in Periodic success.

Andrew Szydlo's blaze of steel
Tuesday 17 February, 6.00pm - 7.15pm
Andrew Szydlo is back to give another demo-packed family-friendly performance covering all you need to know about iron and steel. Watch him in his ever-popular Ri Channel video to see what to expect.

Periodic success
Thursday 19 February, 6.00 - 7.15pm
10 chemical elements were discovered at the Royal Institution but where were all the other elements discovered? And how did scientists discover them? Join chemical physicist and communicator Jamie Gallagher on a guided tour of the most famous of scientific images - the periodic table.
